Hi, I’m Borys – the Yorkie-ish dog with a big heart!
Hi, my name is Borys. I’m kind of Yorkie-like, and as for my age… well, I’m not really sure. The vet says I’m about 7, but my groomer insists I’m older. I came to the foundation after being taken away from my first owner—someone who didn’t really know how to love me.
When I arrived—unkempt and hurting—at Lepszy Świat. Fundacja dla zwierząt i środowiska (A Better World. Foundation for Animals and the Environment), the vet checked me out and discovered broken ribs, throat inflammation, and an injured snout. That’s why my bite is a little uneven and my teeth fall out sometimes.
Once I felt better, I was adopted by a lovely lady, and I lived with her for two years. Life was good: I had my own bed, a bowl, fresh water, and when my lady came back from this magical place called “work,” she always took me for walks. Unfortunately, she had to move far away—to the sea, she said—and couldn’t take me with her.
But every cloud has a silver lining! Thanks to the amazing foundation and its loving volunteers, I found my current forever home.
Now, I live in a big house with a garden. I settled in quickly thanks to my older adopted brother Nufik, a real Yorkie who’s 10 years old. We argue sometimes—especially over food—but we get along. Sometimes our little friend Doxie comes to visit too. She’s also Yorkie-like, very tiny, but has a big voice!
My favorite things? Sleeping—especially under the covers in cold weather—and going for walks! Even though I have a big yard, I get super excited when I see my human put on wool socks and grab a backpack. That means we’re going for a long hike in the mountains! I get a bit nervous in the car, but I manage.
I think my humans would love to adopt another pet, but walking the three of us is already quite the task—so for now, no more new roommates!
Yes, yes—please adopt! The volunteers at the foundation are wonderful, but nothing beats having your very own human. It’s simply the best!
